LISTEN: Laurence M. Brown's Classical Album 'Signs of Life' Now Free to Download

If you are reading this, there's a good chance you are doing so for one of three reasons: 1) you followed a link from one of my social media profiles and are interested in giving the album (embedded below) a listen; 2) you are my mum; or 3) you stumbled here accidentally and have no idea what's going on.

If you fall into categories 1 or 2, thank you for your continued support and for displaying interest—passing or otherwise—in my work. Please feel free to skip the next two paragraphs and continue with the paragraph that begins, "I've just realized... " If, however, you fall into category 3—that is, you stumbled here accidentally and have no idea what's going on—then things will become more clear in the next two paragraphs. The next two paragraphs were written for you. Read them.

My name is Laurence M. Brown and for fifteen years I carried with me a monumental secret. It was a secret so monumental that I didn't tell a single soul about it. Okay, okay—so I actually told six or seven souls about it, but that was only because of beer. The years have come and gone and today I'm 33. Today I'm ready to let out my secret. My secret is that I compose music.

"Wait," I hear you say. "That's not exactly a secret. After all, didn't you already reference 'Laurence M. Brown's classical album' in the article's self-indulgent headline?" Okay, Sherlock—well spotted. It would, of course, interest you to know that the headline is purposely worded that way to entice "category 3" people such as yourself into following the link. Apparently it worked. But since you're such a keen observer, you would have noticed that the headline also contains the words "free to download." I will cover this in the next paragraph. Note: if you followed a link from one of my social media profiles and are interested in giving the album (now embedded above) a listen or you are my mum, feel free to continue reading from here hence.

I've just realized that neither party addressed at the end of the fourth paragraph was supposed to read that paragraph. Ah well, I'll fix that in editing. And so this is the part where I respectfully ask you to click the orange play button above if you've not already done so. I'm assuming you're at least considering it, having delved this far into an article entitled, "LISTEN: Laurence Brown's Classical Album 'Signs of Life' Now Free to Download." If you are considering it, here's a tip: play the album in another tab. That way you can take care of your other internet needs at the same time.

Finally, if you are so moved by the album (and you should be!) that you wish to download each individual track to your computer, you can do so free of charge (so long as you have a SoundCloud profile—also free of charge) by going here.

Thank you
